What a week in the Calligraphy Together community!

Wednesday was our Thanksgiving trace-along, and earlier today we taught a beginner calligraphy class. Recordings are available for both inside the community and we have all the links for you. But first...

Let's celebrate the week!

🌱 New Faces

We welcomed a big wave of new founding members. Lots of people introduced themselves, shared their first practice pages, and jumped right in. Meet the new members in the Say Hello space.

We've even had some original members from 2017-2020 re-join after years away, and it feels so good to reconnect.

🎉 Member Shoutouts

  • Christa shared her gorgeous work from both of this week's quests! See her quote and colorful alphabet​
  • Daniel has been hard at work practicing faux calligraphy. Keep up the fantastic work!
  • Stephanie is consistently working on and posting her daily prompts. Love seeing your work.
  • Les shared his stunning Fall Favorites worksheets. So eye-catching!
  • Mary had a great idea to practice the daily prompts in different lettering styles​
  • Robin followed along with this week's quests, the first time picking up a pen in month's, and did an amazing job! Keep up the great progress! Proud of you for diving right in.
  • Sulie shared a beautiful reminder about letting go of perfection and focusing on calligraphy as expression. This post got lots of love and set such a great tone for the week. Definitely worth the read.
  • Adrienne has gone above and beyond answering questions about supplies, such as marker paper and paper testing​
  • Several members shared stories about how calligraphy helps them slow down and relax — thank you for being open and encouraging others.

We could go on and on, but the bottom line is: we are so proud of all of our members for making the time for calligraphy this week, for sharing their work, and for supporting one another.

📸 Sharing Is Easy with the App

Did you know that you can upload your calligraphy photos right to the community from your phone?

The App is free! It's called Circle (which is the name of the site we use to host our membership) and it allows you to access the community easily from your phone or tablet. Download it at https://circle.so/mobile and login the same way you login on your computer.
