In the Loop: December 2025

Hi Reader,

Happy December!

It's a new month, which means it's time for another Loveleigh Loops calligraphy newsletter🎄

Before we get into the December resources, we want to pause and say a heartfelt thank you for your support during the launch of our new membership community, Calligraphy Together. This community is the culmination of more than seven years of teaching calligraphy—and yet it feels like the start of something truly special.

We’re so excited to pour all of our energy into one shared home instead of multiple programs like we have in the past. We’re thrilled to spend 2026 focused on this one community, creating, teaching, and growing alongside all of you. And to everyone who joined us this month: we’re so grateful you’re here.

Looking forward to a new year of Calligraphy Together.

Sincerely,

Jordan & Jillian

And now, let's dive into some December calligraphy!

Lettering Process

Every year we share the lettering process behind the flourished, bouncy, ribbon lettering "december" from the top of the email. And every year, people tell us how helpful the breakdown is!

So, here's the six step process in one quick graphic:

Ta-da! Try it yourself, it's easier to create than you may think.

December Lettering Prompts

Our daily lettering challenge is back with a festive twist.

Practice your skills with this list of seasonal prompts that make lettering easy and fun.

Members of Calligraphy Together can post their work in the Daily Prompts section of the community.

Did you know Calligraphy Together includes easy traceable worksheets from the challenge?

We wrote a selection of prompts in modern calligraphy with a Pentel brush pen, then scanned the designs and added numbers and arrows to help guide you.
